Each year, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) provides federal funding for homeless programs nationwide through the Continuum of Care (CoC) Program and its annual CoC Competition. Communities access these funds by submitting consolidated applications on behalf of federally funded homeless programs within their CoC, ensuring coordinated efforts to address homelessness.
The Columbus and Franklin County, Ohio Continuum of Care oversees programs provides stewardship for all the strategies developed under our community’s strategic framework for action to respond to homelessness. The CoC oversees capital, services, and operating funding for homeless programs in Columbus and Franklin County, coordinates activities for the community framework for action, promotes collaboration to achieve goals and strategies, and secures resources for programs and projects.
